Majeedah Johnson began her writing career at an early age. The daughter of an author and a journalist, she has written poems, short stories, plays, and now, her first novel. When not writing she practices martial arts and enjoys community outreach, working with disadvantaged youth and the elderly. She lives in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Johnson completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Loyola in New Orleans focusing on Biological Sciences. While in New Orleans, she participated in poetry festivals, historical research projects, and developed a fondness for dissection and comparative anatomy. Johnson is currently writing Jump the River‘s sequel, short stories, and supporting others in realizing their dreams of accomplishing literary greatness.
