Majeedah Johnson began her writing career at an early age. The daughter of an author and a journalist, she has written poems, short stories, plays, and a novel. When not writing she practices martial arts and enjoys community outreach, working with disadvantaged youth and the elderly. She lives in the Washington, DC metropolitan area.

Johnson completed her undergraduate studies at the University of Loyola in New Orleans focusing on Biological Sciences. While in New Orleans, she participated in poetry festivals, historical research projects, and developed a fondness for dissection and comparative anatomy.

Most recently, Majeedah has become a puppeteer. She facilitates workshops featuring her original puppets and songs crafted for each client’s requests. Majeedah is self-taught and is passionate about helping others overcome obstacles through dialogue in safe spaces and dancing to lively music.
